Bridge to College Courses (New and Returning Applicants)

Form Package:  719

Eligible Subgrantees:  School Districts

OSPI is partnering with the State Board for Community and Technical Colleges, (SBCTC) to register high schools to offer Bridge to College Courses for English and/or mathematics in the 2020-21 school year. The Bridge courses are designed for students who are interested in attending college and would like to enter directly into a credit-bearing coursework without remediation or placement testing when enrolling in college after graduation.

Districts with high schools implementing the course are asked to support all registered NEW teachers to participate in professional learning August 3-4, 2020 in Wenatchee and throughout the 2020-21 school year to ensure strong course implementation. The 2-day Summer Institute in August 2020 is required for NEW teachers. A professional development track for RETURNING teachers will also be available at the Summer Institute as one option for RETURNING teachers to retain their eligibility to teach the courses.

Due Date:  7/27/20  5:00 PM
