Mid-year WaKIDS 101 and Inter-rater Reliability Teacher Compensation

Form Package:  887

Eligible Subgrantees:  School District, Tribal School

Purpose:

The purpose of this iGrants form package is to reimburse school districts for kindergarten teachers and special education teachers supporting kindergartners new to WaKIDS in the 2018-19 school year who 1) attend WaKIDS 101 trainings between January 14 – 31, 2019 and 2) complete their Inter-Rater Reliability (IRR) certificate by February 28, 2019. Districts claim for actual substitute costs, up to a cap of $170 per day. Districts can claim $120 per teacher new to WaKIDS who complete the IRR certification by February 28, 2019.

This funding supports the expansion of Community Prevention Wellness Initiative (CPWI) Student Assistance Services in communities with high substance-use and risk factors among youth. The program services and requirements remain similar to the various other CPWI funded locations, specifically the Substance Abuse Block Grant funded sites through FP 422.
