Project Lead The Way (CTE)
State Competitive Grant
 
Purpose:
  • Increase the number of students prepared to enter STEM career fields.

  • Implement specialized courses in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM).

  • Develop knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary for industry employment.

  • Expand access to and awareness of the opportunities offered by high quality career and technical education.

  • Support implementation of specialized Project Lead the Way high school courses and/or adding a second PLTW high school program pathway.
To be eligible for funding in 2022–23, a high school must have offered a foundational project lead the way course during the 2021–22 school year. The 2022–23 funding must be used for one-time start up course costs for an advanced project lead the way course, to be offered to students beginning in the 2022–23 school year.
